Village Manager – Village of Mattawan

The Village of Mattawan has an immediate opening for a Village Manager. The Village seeks an experienced candidate who can transition seamlessly into a dynamic community. Mattawan is a Home Rule Village located at Exit 66 of I-94, between Kalamazoo and Paw Paw. It’s residential population is expanding rapidly based on new residential construction. It boasts an award-winning school system.
The Village maintains a police department and a department of public works. The Village is operated by an experienced staff and the Village is committed to providing all reasonable support to its Manager. The Village is involved in multiple infrastructure projects that are significant in scope. Experience in water, sewer, bridge, and other infrastructure projects is a plus, as is experience in working with a Downtown Development Authority.
The Village seeks candidates with municipal training and managerial experience. Continuing professional development training is required and will be sponsored by the Village. The Village offers competitive wages and benefits, with an intended starting salary range between $82,500 and $110,000.
