HIRING RANGE: $100,213 - $140,298
ABOUT THIS POSITION - The Town of Basalt is accepting applications for Chief Building Official. This position is an important part of the Town’s development services team. The successful candidate must possess a team-oriented, collaborative working style, and excellent knowledge of the building and development field. The position is responsible for all aspects of the building review process including plan review and inspection.
REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE - A Bachelor’s degree in a construction related field from a four-year accredited college or university or equivalent combination of education and related experience. In addition, the successful candidate must have a valid Colorado driver’s license, and ICC certifications (Building Official; Plans Examiner – Residential and Commercial; and Building Inspector – Residential and Commercial) are required within six months of hire.
