Building Supervisor (Part-time, year-round)

Troy Recreation is seeking a responsible, courteous, and highly-organized individual to join our team as a Building Supervisor at the Troy Community Center. This role involves a variety of tasks, including supervision of staff, overseeing daily operations, and maintaining a safe and welcoming facility. 

DUTIES

•         Train and supervise staff. 
•         Evaluate staff performance and provide feedback; administer discipline as needed.
•         Coordinate work schedules, vacation requests, and ensure accurate timesheets. 
•         Lead daily opening and closing procedures. 
•         Patrol and monitor all areas of the Community Center.
•         Enforce all rules and regulations with patrons.  
•         Supervise open gym recreation activities and set up equipment (i.e. badminton, pickleball nets, etc). 
•         Respond to accidents, incidents and emergencies. Complete proper forms for reporting. 
•         Maintain an inventory of all materials, tools and equipment.
•         Address minor maintenance issues. Communicate with Building Operations for specific facility repairs.  
•         Clean, inspect, and maintain fitness equipment to ensure safety.
•         Daily and continuous cleaning of fitness desk, around the facility & locker rooms.
•         Handle questions, complaints and concerns on the phone and in person from the public, contractors and employees in a professional manner.
•         Process membership applications and day pass purchases with proper cash handling.
•         Perform other duties as assigned.

PREFERENCES

•         Prefer one year of supervisory/management experience.
•         CPR/First Aid Certified preferred

HOURS

• Part-time, year-round. Approx. 16-28 hours per week. Schedule and availability must be attentive to facility needs. Multiple shifts available.
• Facility open seven (7) days per week, 4:30am-9:30pm. Multiple shifts available.

Requirements

•         Must be at least 18 years of age.
•         High School degree or GED equivalent.
•         Minimum one year of recent experience in Recreation or Fitness fields, or closely related field.
•         Minimum one years of recent experience in a customer service role, including processing sales transactions on a computer.
•         Successful candidate must pass a pre-employment physical and drug screen (including marijuana).
