Description
Perform professional and technical work managing plan reviews, evaluations, inspections, and approvals of site and building construction systems, including conducting complex reviews and inspections as required for code compliance.
Requirements
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Administration, Management, Engineering, Architecture, Construction or related field; or an equivalent combination of related education, training and experience.
Licensure by the Department of Business and Professional Regulation as a Building Code Administrator or the ability to obtain the license within one-hundred and twenty days (120) of employment.
Valid driver license. Must obtain Florida driver license within thirty (30) days of employment.
Strong written and verbal communication skills and interpersonal skills.
Proficient in Microsoft office tools.
PREFERABLE QUALIFICATIONS:
Certified as a Florida Fire Safety Inspector (Must obtain within twelve (12) months of employment.)
Certified as a Floodplain Manager with the Association of State Floodplain Manager Association (Must obtain within thirty-six (36) months of employment.)
Willingness to adopt AI and emerging technologies.
Licensed as a Commercial Building, Electrical Mechanical or Plumbing Inspector and/or Plans Examiner.
