Description

Under direction of the Building Official this position performs field inspections and plan reviews for new and existing building structures, and equipment to verify compliances with the Michigan Building Code, applicable Township ordinances, and other relevant State regulations

Requirements

High School or GED required. A minimum of five (5) years’ experience as a Building Inspector/Plan Reviewer, as defined by Michigan Public Act 407, is required Applicants must be eligible for State of Michigan registration as a Building Inspector and Plan Reviewer under Public Act 407 and obtain the required registration(s) within thirty (30) days of hire. A minimum of four (4) years with a municipality is preferred.
