Project Superintendent Electrical / Systems

McCarthy is hiring a Project Superintendent to support our construction projects. The Project Superintendent is a critical field leadership position and is foundational to our projects success and safety. The Project Superintendent will oversee construction of the project in the field, providing leadership to field foremen and ensuring successful completion of trade work. The Superintendent will also work closely with the Project Manager to ensure timely and quality completion of construction process.
Key Responsibilities
- Detailed planning and schedule development of electrical, low voltage, and integrated systems on a multi phased/complex project
- Maintain a thorough understanding of contract documents
- Manage and direct field operations of assigned scope and trade partners
- Lead and mentor employees and field personnel
- Coordinate MEP systems installation and testing processes and procedures with overall project, clients, subcontractors, and inspectors
- Planning and coordination of property electrical shutdowns, switchovers, and temporary medium voltage feeds
- Documentation of daily construction activities
- Develop and lead weekly coordination meetings of scope with associated stakeholders
- Understanding and supervision of electrical safety
- Ability to work with a large onsite team including multiple Superintendents, stakeholders, and subcontractors.
- Skills & Qualifications
- 5-10+ years experience with large scale commercial construction projects
- Self-Driven / Self-Starter
- Previous experience as an Electrical Foreman, General Foreman, or Superintendent preferred.
- Knowledge of OSHA Electrical standards and safety
- Experienced with computer use (email, PDF markup, basic schedule software)
- Experience working with Project Management team including successful completion of projects
- Experience with complex/multi phased projects required.
- Experience with large scale airport and/or operating facility construction preferred.
Salary depends upon experience. Salary range in CA is $115,000 - $165,000 per year plus benefits.
