Pay Range
$51,800.00-$71,200.00 AnnualThis is the base salary pay range that an applicant can expect to make upon hire. Pay within this range will vary based upon relevant experience, skills, and education among other factors. In addition, this position is eligible for an incentive bonus.
The Services Specialist manages the coordination, scheduling and the delivery of a variety of supports services to the facility including general human resources, communication, payroll and purchasing. Additional support activities may also be provided in the following areas: safety, customer service, shipping & receiving, production reporting, warehouse & inventory management as determined by the facility.
Your Day-to-Day:
- General human resources and communication activities necessary to administer accurate timekeeping and reporting, payroll, maintenance of personnel files and records, interpretation of policies and procedures, counsel to staff members and assistance to employees as needed
- Ensure new hire protocol (job offers, drug testing, background checks, etc) is followed.
- Conduct new employee orientation to foster positive attitude toward company goals.
- Process payroll (payroll deductions, reporting, timecard review, historical edits) for hourly employees.
- Support plant security through monitoring visitor sign-in.
- Support plant manager and the front office operations.
- May organize all company functions, parties, picnics, celebrations
- Validate employee eligibility and earnings for annual CIP bonus payouts
- Maintain employee data in HRIS system, including annual rate increases, employee deductions, etc
- Facilitate the Leave of Absence process.
- Answer general health and medical insurance questions.
- Ensure all job postings and HR postings are posted as needed.
- Organize company functions, parties, picnics, celebrations
- Oversee Communication efforts including but not limited to company announcements, compliance bulletin boards, quarterly town hall meeting and Xibo screen
- Ensure accurate invoices and payment processing to non-contracted vendors (i.e., employee medical evaluations, safety PPE, uniforms, etc.)
- Purchase basic office/production/laboratory/safety supplies as needed
- Financial support (accounts payable/accounts receivable) and general office purchasing activities as needed
- Perform all normal clerical duties including typing, filing, phone coverage, and mail distribution.
- Assist in any special projects at the plant as may be required.
- Activate/deactivate gate passes.
- Maintain ISO training files.
- Work with Corporate HR on special projects and communications.
- Coordinate travel arrangements as needed.
What You Bring to the Team:
- High school/technical school diploma with a minimum of 3 years general human resources, payroll, and basic accounting experience in a manufacturing environment.
- ADP experience required.
- Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook
- Solid typing skills, a must
- Ability to learn and understand other software applications such as SAP, online travel reservations and electronic expense reporting
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to manage and prioritize multiple task to meet deadlines
- Ability to maintain confidential information
- Fundamental mathematical skills and accounting knowledge
- Solid knowledge of local/State/Federal/Government rules and regulations regarding privacy laws, health records, etc.
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Working knowledge of human resources policies and procedures
- Minimal travel required (0 -- 10 days per year)
- May be required to lift, carry, push or pull up to and including 25 pounds
- Work environment is typical of an office setting
- Good communication skills/diplomacy in dealing with all levels of management internally and externally, domestic and foreign.
- Ability to be physically mobile throughout the property and process
