Electrical/General Assembler

Job Description: We are looking for an experienced Electrical/General assembler to undertake a variety of tasks relating to general wiring and assembly of components to be installed in our systems. Individuals with great attention to detail. The ideal candidate must be experienced in different kinds of electrical devices and systems. The goal will be to produce a finished product following supplied electrical schematics and diagrams. Confirming the devices are wired in accordance to prints, troubleshoot, diagnose, implement on the fly changes/resolutions to issues.

Responsibilities:

• Reading blueprints, following diagrams and schematics to wire our systems
• Layout of wiring on each system
• Wiring motor blowers, lighting, terminal strips, control panels
• 115, 208-230, 460V 3 and 1 phase
• Install electrical apparatus, fixtures and equipment.
• Install safety and distribution components (e.g. switches, resistors, circuit-breaker panels etc.)
• Connect wiring in electrical circuits and networks ensuring compatibility of components
• Prepare and assemble conduits and connect wiring through them

Skills:

• Proven experience with general electrical wiring and mechanical assemblies.
• Experience in industrial and/or commercial electrical systems
• Demonstrable ability to use electrical and hand tools (e.g. wire strippers, voltmeter etc.) and electrical drawings and blueprints
• Thorough knowledge of safety procedures and legal regulations and guidelines
• Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving ability
• Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight
• Minimum 5 years electrical wiring experience
