Description
The Department of Planning & Construction’s Design Services unit seeks a Project Engineer (Electrical). The position is responsible for professional electrical engineering work including the lighting and power distribution design aspects of projects in campus buildings. The work includes production of construction documents and construction administration.

Requirements
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
Experience: Three (3) years of experience working with building electrical distribution systems.
*Licensure as a Professional Engineer (PE) required as a condition of employment. As long as a successful candidate has completed the Engineer in Training (EIT) process, the candidate must pass the professional licensing (PE) exam within one year.
Incumbent will be required to travel to meetings and project sites: if driving a State vehicle, must possess and maintain a valid Maryland Class “C” driver’s license or equivalent with fewer than 6 points.
