We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Carpenter with a jack of all trades skill set. If you love construction and want to work on fun yet challenging projects, this might be for you. We’re a team that brings a detail-oriented, client-focused approach to our work. 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 Produce completed remodeling projects on time and on budget including:

  • Become familiar with Liberty’s core values, mission, services, and goals

  • Bring a can-do attitude to work and be willing to step in wherever required to get the job done

  • Proactive problem solving

  • Nothing less than our company standard, excellent quality workmanship

  • Clear and regular communication with clients, supervisor and team

  • Completion of all necessary production reporting, paperwork and administration for jobs and other office work

  • Prompt attendance at all required staff and department meetings

  •  Willingness to aggressively resolve conflicts and issues promptly and effectively with a “win-win” mindset

  • Ongoing development of improved systems and procedures

  • A winning attitude in all circumstances

 JOB FUNCTIONS

  • Review specifications and drawings for errors and omissions and make corrections as necessary

  • Demonstrates familiarity with and understanding of contract terms and provisions

  • Schedule and facilitate pre-construction walk through meetings

  • Be responsible for controlling job costs and staying on budget
  • Coordinate subcontractor schedules and material deliveries to ensure optimal efficiency

  • Responsible for nothing less than spotless, excellent jobsite cleanliness at all times

  • Responsible for jobsite safety and security of homeowner’s belongings

  • Oversee all job production procedures and maintain the company standards for excellent quality workmanship that adhere to original plans and specifications
  • Resolve job related problems including structural issues, procedures, clean up, and protocol

  • Coordinate with office staff and field crews to ensure project execution exceeds expectations

  • Keep in continual contact with customers through the course of every job to ensure it is completed to the highest level of customer satisfaction

  • Interface with project inspectors, contractors, architects, engineers, city and county officials, and clients
  • Schedule and co-ordinate inspections

  • Facilitate completion of change orders as needed 



Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Competence in a variety of trades, high technical aptitude required

  • Great attitude and excellent communication skills

  • 3 + years of experience in the residential construction industry in a similar role

  • Experience with various trades (plumbing, electrical, paint, etc) preferred

  • Experience using heavy equipment (i.e. skid steer, mini ex, etc) preferred, but not required

  • This candidate must be able to demonstrate leadership abilities and possess above average written and oral communication skills, including strong negotiation skills

  • The ability to work well in a team environment is also essential for this position

  • Deadline and detail-oriented
