Job Posting for DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
The Director of Operations is responsible for the maintenance and efficient operation of all Park District facilities including recreation centers, fishing piers, softball, soccer, and baseball fields, tennis courts, pavilions and playgrounds. The Director of Operations is also responsible for all grounds, management of arbor, flower and turf programs and for the performance of the operations, maintenance, special projects, and horticulture staff.
Qualifications include: A Bachelor’s Degree in park management or a related field. Eight or more years demonstrated success in supervision, construction and maintenance of park and recreation areas. Demonstrated knowledge of budgetary planning, horticulture, landscape, special projects and maintenance including plumbing, electricity, HVAC and Carpentry. Ability to effectively communicate, organize and multi-task. Knowledge of conservation of diverse areas of land and water.
