As the team leader, the Project Manager / Architect / Engineer has overall project management responsibility for both routine and complex projects. This role is the primary point of contact for the client and is responsible for scheduling, budgeting, and design of the project. The Project Manager / Architect / Engineer supervises and coordinates the activities of all internal and external team members. This role works collaboratively with business development, marketing, and administration to achieve the goals of the Firm. The successful candidate is organized, motivated, detail-oriented, is willing to work with the team, and take responsibility for getting the job done.

Hoffmann Architects is a specialty architectural and engineering firm driven by details. We have built a reputation for excellence by resolving building exterior distress at major symbols of the country’s architectural heritage, such as the Chrysler Building, the United States Capitol building, the New York Stock Exchange, and the Smithsonian Institution. We generally keep regular business hours and are home in time to have dinner with family, catch the game, or meet up with friends. With the Firm approaching 50 people spread out in three offices (NY, CT, and VA), we strive to maintain a tight community. Monday mornings at the NY office are filled with recaps of everyone's weekend adventures. On Friday afternoons, we break early and get together in the office for Happy Hour. We also share company-wide events from bowling night to a family summer picnic, that allow us to get together and catch up in a casual setting. Getting to know our coworkers, whether in another state or at the next desk allows us to be a better working team.

The Manhattan office is headed by Senior Vice President and Director of Architecture, Craig A. Hargrove, AIA, LEED AP. Craig has over 25 years of experience in building envelope remediation with more than 10 of those years at Hoffmann Architects. He puts his architecture degree from the New York Institute of Technology to work as he and his staff address the complex building envelope challenges of a busy metropolitan area.
Vice President and Director of Architecture, Juan Kuriyama, AIA, is responsible for the diagnosis and resolution of building system distress. In his 15-plus years with the Firm, he has been recognized for his expertise by both Spanish and English publications. Juan earned architecture degrees from Ricardo Palma University in Lima, Peru and from Pratt Institute in New York.
The remainder of the staff is comprised of a blend of experienced architects and rising professionals, all of whom are accomplished in the field and energetic about current and future projects at the office.
