Overview / Responsibilities Wood is seeking a Construction Manager / Site Superintendent to support our Program / Construction Management (PM/CM) Practice. This full-time position is in support of a project at the Selfridge Air National Guard Base near Detroit, MI.The Construction Manager / Site Superintendent position will be onsite overseeing Wood's trade construction subcontractors. This position requires familiarity with building renovation projects, including HVAC and roof replacement.Key Responsibilities •Onsite supervision of construction subcontractors to include safety, quality, and production•Proactive management of change and risk•Leading progress meetings with project stakeholders•Issue resolution•Verifying contractor SOV / schedule and project closeout and documentation
Skills / Qualifications •5+ years of relevant construction management / site superintendent experience in support of federal government projects•Experience supervising construction subcontractors with responsibility for monitoring the day-to-day field operations to ensure safety, quality, schedule, and cost goals are achieved•Excellent verbal / written communication, problem solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making skills•Extensive experience with construction plans and specifications, and relating that to project scope, schedule, and cost•Commitment to safety. OSHA 30-hour training is required, along USACE EM385-1-1 knowledge preferred•Experience in developing and implementing QA / QC programs to ensure work conforms to the contract documents; USACE CQCM certification preferred•Liaison between contractors, designers, owners, and end-users•Undergraduate degree in engineering, construction management or related degree, or equivalent experience in a construction-related position•Must be willing to travel as required to support our major and minor programs•Must pass drug test, background check and must have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the Company's driving (MVR) policyCompany Overview Wood is a global leader in the delivery of project, engineering and technical services to energy and industrial markets.
