Pay Grade 35. Minimum $12.16/hourly.This position provides the daily repair and maintenance of South Campus Housing complexes and offices. Responsibilities include:
Utilizing a maintenance management software to assess and prioritize work load, maintaining proper tracking of parts used and recording the description of completed tasks. Tracking and reporting work completed in addition to assigned work orders.
Performing minor maintenance on all building systems including, but not limited to, plumbing fixtures, electrical outlets, doors and windows, commercial locks and hardware, building exterior, pitched and flat roofs, drywall finish systems, and flooring systems.
Minor maintenance and repair of all residential major appliances, exhaust fans and dryer ventilation systems.
Troubleshooting repairs and recommending when contractor assistance is needed.
Participating in an emergency on call rotation with maintenance staff requiring seven day obligations for after hours and holidays.
Prioritizing dynamic summer work load efficiently as part of a team to assess and repair all 451 apartments in coordination with summer Housing staff and planned construction projects.
Representing the department to our students, staff and visitors in accordance with current policies and best practices to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for everyone.
Inspecting assigned buildings daily to ensure safe and functional environment for students, staff and visitors.
Reporting any building needs to supervisor in a timely manner for prioritization and entry into the Work Order system.
Performing preventative maintenance tasks for building systems including but not limited to HVAC, plumbing, roofing and scuppers, doors, windows and hardware.
Supervising and coordinating summer maintenance staff when assigned.
Participating as needed with furniture removal, repair and replacement.
