At Carnegie Mellon University, Facilities Management and Campus Services (FMCS) defines our core activities through stewardship of university facilities and customer satisfaction. In order to carry out these strategically important activities, we focus on the areas of technological enhancement, process improvement, quality assurance, and teamwork.
We are looking for an Asset Preservation Program Coordinator to join our team, who will handle the planned maintenance program for all facilities-related assets and location. Maintain a complete inventory of more than 30,000 interior and external locations and more than 16,000 maintainable assets within those locations within the 6,000,000 square feet of internal area on the 150 acre Pittsburgh campus. Develop and maintain planned maintenance tasks, safety plans and spare parts lists for a variety of fixed and moveable assets including paved and landscaped surfaces, building envelope elements, mechanical, electrical and plumbing components, fixed classroom furniture, food preparation and copying equipment. Schedule maintenance plans to meet university schedules and resource availability. Coordinate required inspections of university assets by outside agencies and certified internal personnel. Coordinate account and meter-related activities with utility companies for electricity, water, sewer, steam and natural gas.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate a broad knowledge of a variety of building systems including roofs, building envelopes, interior finishes, heating ventilating and air conditioning systems, plumbing and electrical systems. Also have familiarity with maintenance and safety practices associated with a broad range of building-related assets and systems. Demonstrate an understanding of relational data concepts and how such concepts can be used to associate locations, assets and work plans.
