DRAMA AND DANCE: Theater Technology
Part-time Lecturer (non-tenure-track)
The Department of Drama and Dance at Tufts University is seeking a part-time lecturer to teach an introductory-level course in Theatre Technology in the fall semester 2017. The content of the course includes an introduction to and overview of tools, materials, techniques and methods of mounting a theatrical production. The emphasis is on scenery construction including basic carpentry, painting, and rigging techniques. The class meets Mondays from 6 to 9 pm in the Tufts University Scene Shop; students are also required to complete supervised lab hours that are arranged on an individual basis.
Qualifications: Applicants should hold an MFA in Technical Production or Theatre Technology, and have some teaching experience at the college level.
